How much does it cost to rent the golf cart?

Rental pricing is shown on the Rentals page during the booking process. Pricing may vary based on rental dates, rental duration, availability, required deposit, and any applicable fees.

Is payment required at booking?

Yes. Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. A separate security deposit or card authorization may also be required before the rental begins.

 
Is a security deposit required?

Yes. A refundable security deposit or card authorization is required for all rentals. The deposit may be used for damage, late return, missing equipment, excessive cleaning, tickets, towing, recovery, or violation of rental rules.

Who can rent the golf cart?

Renters and approved drivers must be at least 25 years old unless otherwise approved by Family Local, LLC. Each approved driver must meet the rental requirements before operating the cart.

Do I need a driver’s license?

Yes. Each approved driver must have a valid driver’s license and must be legally permitted to drive in California.

Can someone else drive the golf cart?

Only approved drivers listed on the rental agreement may operate the golf cart. Unauthorized drivers are strictly prohibited.

How many passengers can ride in the golf cart?

The golf cart seats up to 6 passengers. All passengers must remain seated while the cart is moving and use available seat belts.

 

Can children ride as passengers?

Yes, children may ride as passengers when properly seated and supervised. Minors are never permitted to operate the golf cart.

Where can I drive the golf cart in La Jolla?

What happens if the battery runs completely dead?

Yes. Renters are responsible for damage occurring during the rental period, including damage to tires, wheels, windshield, seats, batteries, charger, keys, accessories, and other components.

What happens if I return the golf cart late?

Late returns may result in additional charges and may affect future reservations. Return the cart by the scheduled return time to avoid late fees.

Where do I pick up and return the golf cart?

Pickup and return instructions are provided after booking and approval. The cart must be returned to the approved return location unless otherwise agreed in writing.
