How do I make a reservation?

Reservations can be completed online through our booking system. Simply select your rental, choose your dates, and complete the checkout process.

When is payment due?

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.

Is a security deposit required?

Yes. A refundable security deposit of $500 is required for all rentals.

 
Who can rent a golf cart?

Renters must be at least 25 years old unless otherwise approved by Family Local, LLC.

Do I need a driver's license?

Yes. All approved drivers must possess a valid driver’s license and be legally permitted to drive in California.

Can someone else drive the cart if they are not listed?

No. Only approved drivers listed on the rental agreement may operate the golf cart. Unauthorized drivers are strictly prohibited.

Where can I drive the golf cart?

Golf carts may only be driven in approved local areas and on roads where golf cart or LSV operation is legally permitted.

Can I drive on beaches, trails, or sidewalks?

No. Driving on beaches, sand, sidewalks, parks, trails, lawns, curbs, or off-road areas is prohibited.

 

Can children drive the golf cart?

Absolutely not. Minors are never permitted to operate the golf cart.

Are seat belts required?

Yes. All passengers must remain seated and use available seat belts while the cart is in motion.

What should I do if the cart develops a problem?

Stop using the cart immediately and contact Family Local, LLC. Do not continue operating a cart that may have a safety issue.

What happens if I'm involved in an accident?

If an accident occurs:

• Ensure everyone’s safety
• Call 911 if needed
• Contact Family Local, LLC immediately
• Take photos and gather information from all parties involved
• Do not admit fault or make promises on behalf of the company

Am I responsible for damage to the cart?

Yes. Renters are responsible for damage occurring during the rental period, including damage to tires, wheels, windshields, seats, batteries, chargers, keys, accessories, and other components.

Do I need to charge the golf cart before returning it?

Yes. The cart must be returned with the required battery level according to your rental instructions.

What happens if the battery runs completely dead?

If the cart must be recovered due to battery depletion or failure to follow charging instructions, the renter may be responsible for towing, recovery, labor, and related costs.

What happens if I return the cart late?

Late returns may result in additional charges and could affect future reservations.

 
Can I smoke or vape in the golf cart?

No. Smoking and vaping are prohibited in or around the golf cart.

Can I use the golf cart for business purposes or deliveries?

No. Golf carts may not be used for rideshare services, deliveries, commercial transportation, or any unauthorized commercial activity.
